UPDATES
This is for Simkits viewers. The VOR2/ADF gauge that could be used as a housing for a NAV1 360 degree indicator.
As at 06 Nov 2009, the whole project has been converted to FSX. We can discuss this at length if anyone requires the feedback. In summary:

1. Late 2009, new 64bit PC, VISTA, latest NVIDA graphics, oodles of memory etc.. driving FSX SP2 and SDK SP1a
2. 1st problem, SIMKITS gauges [non usb] are not 64 bit compatable. Convert PC to 32 bit.
3. VISTA proved to be too much of a nightmare. PC converted to XP.
4. During conversion 2 gauges and 1 radio pack up. Gauges self fixed, radio last heard of in Australia.............
5. 2 potentiometers [one in the throttle quadrant, one in the right control yolk] broke, replaced with difficulty due to age and size.
6. A constant problem of spoilers being deployed with no visual indication as their operation is done by microswitches [which can get out of phase] A warning light direct from the FSX 747 panel is being investigated.
7. Fart cushions burnt out, replaced by huge subwoofers under both pilots seats.
8. FSChatter live incorporated, sound is an issue. System needs a seperate gain switch.
9. The big one, and the reason for installing FSX. Need screens either 46 inch monitors or OHP with matrox.
10. Laptop needed in the front seats for on-line flying and secondary displays like ATC dialogue box, VATSIM chat box and DMEs.
11. DMEs currently on main screen lower left [switchable].
12. No transponder as yet, but this can be handled by 10 above.
